About Flare

Flare is an ongoing project led by photographers Amelia DiGiano, Alec Thompson, and Talon Belski. The concept was borne from a collective anxiety regarding the ecological health of the planet, a shared love for InDesign, and the belief in photography a form of climate activism, education and resilience.

At this time, the journal is entirely self-funded. This is why we are asking for a $5-10 donation for each submission. We understand that submission fees are often a barrier for emerging photographers and we encourage anyone to submit, even those unable to make a donation. All submissions will be considered regardless of associated contributions.
